i dont think it would make much of a difference whether it is a full tank or half tank.. considering that a full tank is 60 liters and half tank is 30 liters, so the difference is only 30 liters in weight. So assuming a 2 kg/liter weight, the difference is only 60kg weight..
what matters most is the way you drive and the routes you take...
kapag half tank ka, lagi ka kakabahan kung kailan ka maubusan ng gas, and that means more frequent trips to the gas station..
just my thought.... _________________

200X, all stock engine, a/t,
using shell e10, 6.96km/l, (tire psi 30, 50/50 city highway driving, light mid foot) Formula= 240km / 34.4 liters (P1k)= P4 per liter))
using caltex unleaded, 5.9km/l (same tire psi, 70city/30 highway, heavy foot, karerista mode)
using petron xcs 7.5km/l, (same tire psi, 60city/40 highway, cruising mode)
still studying, daming variables to consider, especially with the unpredictable heavy foot |

my current xtrail's consumption? zero kilometers in more than a month!
our road is undergoing "widening and improvements" and i've opted to keep the car in the garage. but, hey, the work is now 33 days overdue! paging anyone with connections in quezon city hall. |

Jun maybe you need to try Blaze next. I think you will notice an improvement on fuel consumption. |

OT but I'd just like to remind everyone that the reason malakas ang XTY sa gas is the same reason it puts smiles on all our faces when we step on it, am I right? of course, we don't have to use this power all the time...kaya lang as they say, "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it..." _________________ we ride together, we die together...bad boys for life...

why? how does the xtrail compare to other 2.0 or 2.5 liter engines? di ba mas malakas humigop ng gas ang crv? hindi pa maganda! or escape, or tribute? are these cars doing 10km/liter? i bet not.
before i bought my xtrail i already convinced myself that i was going to pay more for fuel because i was getting a 2.0 liter engine. nasanay na ako sa 1.3 liter na toyota which gets around 10km/l purely on city driving. but i was surprised that my brand new xtrail (in 2004) did 6.5 to 7km/l in the city. not bad, di ba? plus all the power you can get that is not available from a 1.3 liter engine!
sa akin lang, if you cannot sustain the lifestyle provided by the xtrail then you shouldn't own an xtrail. |
