good day X-trail club. i'm lani, a newbie from calamba, i don't have an xtrail yet, but hopefully, i might get one soon since i'm really longing for this ride.

since my budget is tight, i prefer 2nd hand. but i'm not that familiar with the pricing and things to check when buying one.

a friend is offering an xtrail, he doesn't really know the owner so i'll be asking advice on the vehicle. here's the only details i have on the ride:

xtrail model: 2007
color: black
mileage: 31k
price: 700k fixed

The price offered you got is relatively reasonable for a 2007 model at 31TKM.

If the xty is a 2.5L then this is relatively a good price for it.

there are 3 variants of the xty.
1. 2.5L engine 4x4 250x
2. 2.0L engine 4x4 200x
3. 2.0L engine 4x2 200

thanks EDL & mikesia. it's like my thread is in the wrong section lol.

my friend just told me it's a 200x gas AT. so will it be worth it? what's the average price for this model?

also, may i know average mileage and things to check when i'm about to test drive it.

200X is a 4x4 2.0L engine.. i think with that price, it is worth it.. check for the maintenance manual if it is periodically casa maintained, you will need this for the warranty.. since it is 2007 model, you have until 2010 for the warranty..

test drive and check for the suspension and handling..

city driving average mileage is about 6-7km/l

the price you got for this 200x is ok. you have a typical brandnew one.
im sure that everything are all in working condition.

but still check on the following:
1. Car papers. Is it registered to the sellers name? Must be clean papers.
OR/CR
2. Bank assuming balance if financed.
3. Did the car had major accident. its best to have none.
4. others like owners/ service manuals, 2 sets of keys (red and black)
complete tools and spare tire.
5. Exterior defects like condition of paint.
6. Interior fabric defects like cigarette punctures. 200X interior are fabric.
7. How old are the tires and batteries? Replaced already?
8. Etc.

Better yet have it scrutinized by ClubX before you buy it. Very Happy

thanks guys. unfortunately, the owner changed his mind. he's now decided to keep his xtrail.

right now, i'm in search mode again.

may i know the year when the models/gen change? someone offered me an '06 model but i'm not sure if it still the same appearance as of the '07. he's selling it for 600k, 40k mileage.

'03-'04 = honeycomb grille (awarded suv of the year in 2004)
'05-early'07 = v-grille + spoiler + baby fender mirrors + wide body stripes
later '07 = v-grille + hyper roof rails + hyper alloy wheels
'08 = tokyo edition

Gen 2
came out in Japan and Europe already last '08. bigger and wider

You're getting an X-trail at half price but with less than half its potential lifespan. We have members with 100+k on the odo Very Happy

looks like the xtrail is well maintained... the body is still shiny, the mags dont have visible scratches, the interior well maintained as can be seen by the sidings.. Very Happy

however, the fog lamps seems to be blurred and the tires should be almost worn out by 40k mileage.. it must an early 2006 model as it does not have a rear spoiler.. i'm just not sure if it is a 200 or 200x model

hello dada.. were u able to get your xtrail already? join us this saturday GEB.. whether you got your xtrail or not, so you get to meet the people of club x.... this goes for all newbies like run4fun, kakui, x-gf ,shadow, bettina..etc..
