Hello,
I just had my Xtrail checked this afternoon at Good Year Servitek Wilson (Beside Cafe Ysabel)
I asked for the list of parts that i would have to replace/ repair and here are the following:
1. Lower Arm Assembly Original (2pcs) at Php8,400 each! = Php16,800
Labor is Php 3,000.00
(Actually, yung bushing lang ang kenlangan palitan. pero wala daw available nun, you have to get the whole assembly. Then, the service manager informed me that the other Xtrail in their shop had the same problem but what he did was purchase a fabricated bushing at Php 1,500 for both already. Do you guys have experiences with fabricated bushings?)
2. a. Tie Rod 555 (2pcs) at Php 990 each = Php 1,980.00
b. Rack End 555 (2pcs) at Php 1,300 each = Php 2,600.00
Labor is Php 1,200.00
3. Axle Boot Inner As per sample (1pc) = Php 400.00
Labor is Php 900.00! Mas mahal pa sa Axle Boot Itself!!
4. Wheel Balancing Php 400.00 (100/ tire)
5. Wheel Alignment Php 1,600.00 + 486.00(weights) = Php 2,086.00
Sheesh! gastos! Grand total of Php Php 29,366.00
Or with the fabricated bushing so i would not have to get the lower arm assembly Php 14,066.00
What do you guys think? Is it worth it? Are there any shops which you guys can recommend at San Juan/ Greenhills area?
Oh and by the way, how many are using the 555 replacement tire rods/ rack ends? I used it before with my Exalta and okay parin siya after 3 years. I don't know lang kung okay ren na gamitin ko sa Xtrail. hehe
Thanks Guys!

Hello chef, for replacement bushings diba cruven yung kilala? However urethane ata gawa nila so mas tatagtag ride mo (although handling will be better), parang 500 lang ata per bushing. Of course better pa din you use OEM but cruven could tide you over till you can get a good deal on lower arms, ask Sir Willard, I doubt anyone can do better _________________ we ride together, we die together...bad boys for life...

You can try to get your parts at Nisparts banawe. They are cheaper, at least compared sa casa, OEM pa. Just get the parts elsewhere and have it done with them it will come out cheaper. _________________ JDM XLM |

hey guys! just an update.. i got my parts from Nisway in Amang Rodriguez. Total Expenses is around 6k for labor and another 6k for parts.
here's the list of the stuff i had done in my car. i will update this later with prices.
1. 2pcs 555 Tie Rod
2. 2pcs 555 Rack End
3. 4pcs Stabilizer Link Bar Bushing (OEM)
4. 1pc Axle Boot Inner RH (OEM)
5. Wheel Alignment/ Camber Alignment
6. Wheel Balancing
Then the stuff that i have to get fixed when i get back from my out of town trip:
1. 2pcs Stabilizer Link (Front)
2. Lower Arm Bushing, (RH) still studying if it's worth fabricating (performance and value wise) would cost me only about 750/ bushing but i'm not sure about it's long term performance.
3. Rack N Pinion Leak. is there a repair kit for the xtrail? |

| oh, by the way.. i was also able to get a drive belt already for my Xtrail. they lowered the price to Php 687.00 from around Php 2,000.00+. apparently there was a shortage of stock last year that's why they had to increase price by that much. anyway, now is a good time to buy for those who need the part. |

Hahaha, thats funny chef! sooo...the part is actually worth Php 687 instead of Php 2000+...but due to the "shortage", they were "forced" to overcharge you by 200+%? My heart bleeds for their anguish in having to take such a painful step (buti pa siguro sinabi na lang nila that the price of rubber shot up) _________________ we ride together, we die together...bad boys for life...

hi guys, sorry for the late reply. i just got back from my subic trip. sarap sa SCTEX!!
Anyway... it's still more expensive in casa's compared to Servitek. Actually what made Servitek expensive are the parts they are selling. otherwise, it's okay since i got my parts at Nisway in Amang Rodriguez
i got a quotation from Nissan Shaw since it's near my house and the estimate reached to 23K to change tie rod, rack end and lower arm suspension (all left and right)
while at servitek, the estimate reached up to 29K to change the tie rod, rack end, lower arm suspension (left and right), the stabilizer link bushings (front and rear) and the drive belt.
Since i got my parts outside, total amount i spent was only 12K
i'll post the breakdown too in a bit |
