can u suggest a good shop who does install cold air intakes? im not rili hands on kase in this type of upgrade.... pardon my ignorance but does it help my engine alot? after acquiring this type of upgrade do i nid to change to a full synthetic oil i.e. Motul, Mobil1? sprkplugs? etc... tnx.

the purpose is just to suck colder air going to the engine
not like the normal type that is in the engine bay
colder air more hp
i think there is one xtrail that have it installed from rockwell
forgot the name of the shop. check the older post

tnx for the response... another question doh, does it requires me to get a volt stabilizer wen i decided to upgrade to CAI? electronics na yung magagalaw dun, isnt it? im worried baka mag loko na yung electrical ko in the long run... or is it possible kung wala ng volt stabilizer...tnx again

walang connection yun CAI sa volt stabilizer.

no problems with the electrical system with the cold air intake you might be reffering to the MAF sensor of the intake . the stock MAF sensor of the xtrail can handle the CAI .

mga boss idea lang... wala pa ba nag try na mag lift ng hood/bonnet? yung medyo naka angat yung hood sa bandang windshield. nilalagyan yata nila ng spacer on the hinges. any comments?
dito kasi sa qatar dami ko na nakita, specially land cruisers and nissan patrols. i am thinking na para sa cold air intake din yun, para maka hinga yung makina ng mas maganda.

Hmmm...interesting...but I think it would be tidier to just have a funnel fabricated to channel air to your CAI.

Will try to take a pic when I see X19 tomorrow Very Happy However, with regards to our Xty's, there's 2 ways we can do it...

Option 1- Remove the port side driving light, have a exhaust shop fabricate a tube from the space vacated by said driving light leading to the CAI. Forward motion then should "ram" air thru the tube directly to your intake.

Option 2- If you don't want to remove your driving light, have your shop fabricate a tube positioned in the front bumper opening and curved towards your CAI. This of course, is much more difficult to shape and mount, and most likely, more expensive too.
