I bought an X-trail here in Miami, it's my first SUV, my first diesel engine, my first computer controlled car. So wala talaga akong idea.
(I drive another car, a 1995 slightly modded Honda Prelude, I just bought an X-trail, when my GF moved in, ayaw daw niya sa two seater)
I have some questions:
1. How can I reprogram the computer box on my X-trail? I know you can pay a service tech to do it for you, but I want to learn and do it myself.
2. Can I just use a normal laptop with the program installed in it? If so, what's the name of the program? Where do I buy it? Download?
I installed a new security alarm in the car about a month. And then after, I felt the car feeling differently, sometimes it fails to start. Sometimes it starts and then just dies... and other weird things. A friend told me I should have the control box reprogrammed because it got messed up.
Can anybody help? _________________ Carpe Diem!!! |

IMHO only official Nissan service centers are allowed to reprogram the computer box. Here they use a special tool called CONSULT II to diagnose the car and I believe performs reprogramming too. _________________

that would be an import, right?
reprogram of the computer box should be left to the experts. mahirap na if you mess it up beyond repair. if you just want to reset the box there are step by step instructions you can get floating in cyberspace and will involve just removing fuses for a few minutes then putting them back.
good luck with your project and hope you have lots of fun with your xtrail. |
