Based on my experience, i used up about 6 liters of distilled water plus 1 liter of coolant. Although using a bigger ratio for the coolant would lessen the increase in your temperature, I'm not so sure that would be a good thing to do. |

thanks X2, and about water wetter as mentioned by wolfpack, i read some thread regarding this issue and it seems useful to try, but i'm still having difficulty locating a shop selling that stuff here in qatar.
follow up question... i read in our service manual that our cooling system is quite sensitive and putting non recommended coolant is a gamble and might damage the sensor inside. beside the nissan supplied coolant is it ok to use commercial brand coolants?
big thanks... _________________ in victus. |

first thing is you have to check is the recommended coolant. What are the contents of it. AFIK the main ingredient is ethelyn glycol. I've been using commercial coolant for a long time on my 91 sentra. I've been using it also on my xty. So far, the only difference with then and now is the distilled water. |
