Guys, feedback naman of wearing a shoe that's 18's and a 20's? pros n cons? your suggestion would help bigtime as well as the others who have experience this with their XTYS Smile

my opinion
20" matatag but pogi points.. in a scale of 1-10 its 11.. hehe(joke). medyo bibigat ang kabig coz wider tires. mahal ang tires pag sumabog/napudpod as well as mahal ang mags pag nawasak. less design for 20" (correct me if im wrong)

18" you can do what oem mags can do or much better coz wider tires..(may pogi points din). better ride than 20" also if put with a good springs or shocks

if u wnt pogi points, go to 20s but if u wnt sumtn for evryday use,prefer 18. cnsidr the road ur crossing evryday,bec 18 is better for dumpy road.

Aside from affecting the acceleration and deceleration of the car, with 20's you would be overloading the suspension because the combined weight of the wheel and tire will be a lot heavier. Plus you would have to be really careful not to hit the potholes which kinda defeats the purpose of having an SUV.

best advise i can give: evaluate how you use your extrail, cross-reference this with what was already said, and make your choice...

bottom line for me:

mas pogi + city driving + mayaman ka = 20

pogi + performance and reliability + less worries + cost-conscious = 18

i disagree ... coz there are some 18s na mas mahal pa sa set ng 20s with tires na ...

basta isipin mo muna san kaba madalas pumupunta bumibiyahe then decide !

yung frend ko na naka 20s dati new manila lang .. gimik sa mga embassy greenhills malls etc etc games sa uaap practice sa dlsu wala naman lubak at butas e sa mga yun plus baller look haha coz hes a baller so .. he went for 20s

ako 18s coz medyo gusto ko talaga usable tsaka medyo habol ko jdm tlaga so jap mags on a jap car ..... mhal 20s na jap tsaka walang pang xtrail .....

k.o: i was working on the assumption that dubs has already made his choice on a brand and design and was only pondering w/c size he should get. eg.: choosing wether to go with 18 na concept 1 or 20 na concept 1.

of course, a set of 18" volks will cost more than 20" concept1's. sorry for the confusion...

but i still believe you echo my opinion that the choice should be made with the owner's intended use as the main consideration. or do you disagree with me on that point as well? Laughing

for me hindi sa price naman basis , kasi kahit naka 18" ako inabot ako ng 1++k almost thesame price na ng 20" db? dapat base mo sa comfort and performance and reliability and peace of mine hehehe kasi pag naka 20" ka pag sa road may nakita ka lubak usually mag sudden brake ka hehehehe..... ipa lowered mo nalang pag naka 18" ka so mag mukang malake hehehe

so dubalaver: ano na na pili mo 18 or 20?

dubalaver -- you could see sa mga eb's or fun run natin ang mga naka mags then you can decide which to choose from. c k.o. ata may mga used springs ata.
