Hi Guys,

Can you recommend a shop or someone who does fog light cleaning of our x-trail? Nag-moist kasi yung fog lamps ko. This happened after crossing a flooded street during the great flood. Kelangan baklas-bumper ito right? Yung sanay sana sa x-trail.. Takot ako dalhin sa tabi-tabi lang baka kasi di na mabalik ng maayos.

Appreciate your inputs.

Thanks to all...

Hi ljl, with my '04 xtrail, hindi na tinanggal bumper. the foglamps can be removed galing sa ilalim.

Coming from Makati on Edsa, turn right on Aurora Blvd., then left on Anonas, then right at the first street, then left on Banuyo (its a one way but nobody minds daw). Northcustoms will be on your right about 250 meters in (grey gate).

as the chef mentioned - no need to baklas-bumper, you can get to the fogs by taking out the fender protector lining or sa ilalim. or you can take out the headlights & corner lights
(and the grille if you want) so you have more space & a better overhead view. linis ng fogs kaya naman i-diy yan but otherwise okay na sa northcustoms (galing na rin ako dun for blacked-out lights.)

( tip for avoiding moisture, you can take out the headlight's rubber caps & linis lang with mild dish soap (e.g.joy diluted) and thoroughly dry before you put it back. for the fogs & signal lights, running lights, you can put a thin strip of silicone sealant aroung the bulb socket before you put it back, kasi minsan hindi na maganda yung seal ng gasket niya. if and when you need to replace bulbs, sasama lang matatanggal yung sealant. Smile )

thanks guys! i'll try it from under the fender lining. just a curious question, has any of you tried removing the diffuser of the fog lights? will this give out too much glare ?

btw, im already using hid on my foglights. im also planning to replace the ballast as its already not working. when i had the hid installed before, the installer had to remove the whole bumper.

my concern too - was also thinking of removing the diffuser sa fogs, then aim it lower sa adjustment kaya lang baka sobra glare & kalat ang buga so left it alone muna.
