Greetings guys. So far the forum here is really a big help for newbies like me. I got my Xtrail 2nd hand last week. Its an O4 200x. Kaya lang yung previous owner nilagyan ng DASH SHIELD yung nuong dashboard and I want it removed. Gusto ko sana i- DIY lang. What do you suggest I must use to remove the adhesive marks on the dash?. Thanks guys. More power po.

You can use Kerosene but follow with a damp rag and then Armor All or something similar.

try to use something that is not too harsh like an all purpose cleaner. do it slowly. small by small (unti-unti in tagalog). just always follow up with a damp rag.

Bonifacio96, kamusta na ang dashboard mo? Were you able to remove the adhesives?

Not a big fan of using armor all in the interior, you're better off with a regular wipe down with MF+Water / All Purpose Cleaner.

To answer you question, try using an All Purpose Cleaner + Toothbrush (get the one with soft bristles) then wipe down with a damp rag.

Thanks sa reply mga bossings. Hermi, yes natangal ko mga adhesives. Took out the double sided tapes slowly tapos pinahiran ko ng wipe-out all purpose cleaner (yung usually ginagamit pang linis ng mga computers .hehe) and followed it with a damp cloth

Although I found out later na mas epektib pala yung armour all All purpose cleaner. This is different from the armor all protector na nag papakintab lang. parang bago ung dash. Tama si ILD, pangit pag makintab dash at pag ginamitan mo ng armor all protector and the likes, yun, makintab lang.

which brings me to my next question. Ano maganda protector sa dash natin na NO GLOSS ang effect? TIA Very Happy

I have the same problem as bonifacio96, yung 1st owner nung nabili ko 2005 X-Trail nilagyan din nang Dashield. I managed to removed the adhesive marks but unfortunately meron natirang other marks which appeared to be an instant Glue ( super Glue). Any Idea how can I remove the mark? Hope to hear from u guys. Thanks

super glue can usually be removed by acetone. BUT i suggest that if you want to do it yourself and go this route that you try the acetone on a damp rag somewhere na hindi makikita. if it causes any discoloration wag mo na ituloy baka sumama pa lalo.
