its been a month since i took out my intake resonator

This sits beneath the battery.

Replaced in with a 2 1/2 inch PVC pipe. I will be replacing it with something more cosmetic soon,...if not with a true CAI. Anyway.... I've noticed not an improvement, but a cure for the heat soak or engine lag we usually encounter. Very seldom nalang ang slow acceleration. Just be sure to leave about 3-5 inches space between the end of the tube and bottom of the plastic wheel well (shroud).

Regarding sound, i havent noticed any changes, still the same, with a K&N filter. Mine has a growl and a gurgle on sudden press af the accelerator.

not sure, but this box can also be a catch basin for water and dirt. Or it could be to dampen the air velocity (not too violent and erratic), but this should only be before the MAF sensor.

Anyway, i still have the PVC pipe. Although i cut it a bit shorter, left about 4 inch space to breath air.

Try to pinpoint muna kung san ang grinding sound. Sa rear ba, or sa engine / kasabay ba ng pag rev / or pag hataw lang / etc.

When you meant "silencer" ito yun malaking drum sa likod "muffler" - tama?

kng lumitaw yun ingay nun nagpalit ka lang ng muffler (silencer)... malang may kinalamn ito. Bka may butas (singaw) or may dumi sa loob.
