Very Happy

mga bro, maiba ako onti, how much ba jan sa pinas un mga K & N replacement filters na drop in (i'm not sure kung ito nga twag dun sa tulad ng oem filter na nakainstall presently sa xty)? dito kasi 250 rials un, plus un kit na panlinis at pang-recharge nun oil - 99rials. Mga 4000 un dalawa na sa peso...
I read kasi na once pinalitan un oem filter, nadadagdagan ng power ang xty ntin... i'm planning to do this as my first mod na sana kaso parang me nabasa ako sa australian x-trail na nde advisable sa sandy environment un filters ng K & N...how true is this kaya...
Question

i think any cone filter or basta open na filter is not really advisable for sandy environments and those who go off road. mas malakas kasi humigop yung hangin since open yun Smile afaik, mga ganyan din ang price range ng filters dito. let's wait for the reply of the xty gurus Smile

by the way, just an observation.. i was using premium which was 93 octane gas a couple of months ago. and then i just tried using unleaded sa last gas up ko (also 93 ata). i get more mileage at 360 kilometers compared to the 300 kilometers for premium gasoline. bakit kaya? city driving pala ito Smile

lakas pala talaga sa gas ng xty ntin... Shocked buti na lang mura a gas d2...kaso si kumander lagi napapansin un...eh sya pa man din finance manager.. Very Happy

un 95 at 91 octane d2 pareho premium unleaded (afaik)..try ko magpaload 1/2 tank 95 at 1/2 tank 91, i'll see kung ano magiging resulta... Idea

you'll probably get some knock. you can have the timing adjusted by your dealer so mabawasan but then power might suffer.

kmusta guys. i just want to comment about dun sa k&n filter. i am here in qatar, which logistically is just above saudi arabia. so we share the same hot and dusty condition. pero it did not stop me from installing k&n filter for my 2003 x trail.
after installation, notice ko agad yung improvement sa acceleration and gas milage is somewhat imroved, dahil mas mababa na ang idle ko. and the sound is really music to my ears. pero tama si ROYTAB dust and K&N cone filter is not a good combination. BUT.... i think i solved it with the real PINOY ingenuity.
After ko linisin yung filter ko kasi nga dami na alikabok. binalutan ko nung HEAD COVER yung ginagamit ng mga nurse at doktor sa hospital. maganda kasi yung material. manipis sya kaya walang problema sa air intake, and the best thing is.. it keeps most of the dust away.
