|
|
Hello everyone.. I'm experiencing a disturbing "tick" sound coming from the front left when i brake hard. Started last night at Edsa when i had to suddenly stop because of a bus.
Any inputs on what it might be?
Lose caliper? Wearing brake pads?
Any of you guys have experienced this too? _________________ masakit man sa bulsa, masarap naman sa mata! |

hehe ano ba to, kainis, dami gastos! actually, yung sakin hindi kumikiskis. there's actually a "tuk" sound when i step on the brakes hard.. will have it checked monday. if sched permits, sa Nissan UN ako.
in your case, if kumikiskis, baka worn out na brake pads mo? _________________ masakit man sa bulsa, masarap naman sa mata! |

try mo i-jack, then hawakan mo gulong sa 12 & 6 o'clock position and galawin mo - pag may play or pag inikot mo may ma-feel ka na sabit maaring wheel bearing yan.
dalawahan palit nyan, only 1 side - no good, cannot be. kapapalit ko lang last month, yan yung una kong naramdaman, parang kiskis muna then ugong then lagutuk-tok which is malala na.

hello! just an update.. finally had the chance to go for my change oil/ tune up. i used royal purple 15w- 40, ngk iridium spark plugs, ganda na ulet ng takbo!
anyway.. so pinacheck ko na din yung front-left na pangilalim.
first we checked kung may play yung gulong, wala naman.
then inspected everything, from the caliper, stab link, tie rods, wala parin. (well, halos bago pa naman lahat ng pang ilalim ko, had those changed last may)
my mechanic thinks na shock absorber na daw ang problem since hindi pa napapalitan yun since 2004 and lumalabas lang yung "tuk" sound while braking with the wheel slightly turned to the left. pag paatras naman ako then i brake suddenly, wala namang tunog so maybe yung front left shock nga ang problema.
any opinions?
I called nisparts banawe, nasa 3,400 daw isa _________________ masakit man sa bulsa, masarap naman sa mata! |

update again!
actually, nabawasan na yung tunog when we tightened the screws on the left shock mount pero meron parin.
i was able to buy KYB Excel G Shock Absorbers today at Php 3,300 a piece at Nisparts Old Banawe with free 2 bottles of mineral water. haha!
i was supposed to get it installed today at Servitek Trancepeak because my mechanic was busy for the day and they were charging a whopping Php1,050 per tire! wala pa camber alignment dun! rip off sobra!
will just wait till his schedule clears up so i can bring my car there. _________________ masakit man sa bulsa, masarap naman sa mata! |
